ABOUT THIS EVENT

On December 3, 2021, IISD provides an 80-minutes training session at the Environmental Leadership Programme on Sustainable and Resilient Infrastructure. This capacity building course for East African infrastructure professionals is organized by United Nations Environment Programme and the United Nations Institute for Training and Research.

IISD’s session illustrated the importance of investing in nature-based infrastructure to meet infrastructure needs. Participants also learned how different elements of the Sustainable Asset Valuation (SAVi) methodology can inform infrastructure decision-making. To this end, case study presentations illustrated how causal loop diagrams, spatial analysis, and project finance modelling have been applied to NBI projects around the world.
