In February 2022, IISD will reflect upon the use of SAVi in a course of the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. The course “Planning Dynamics: Cultures, Specialisms and Roles in Action” will enable about 200 Bachelor students to understand contemporary planning practice in its dynamic context and to develop their future roles.
In one of the course sessions, IISD will present the work with SAVi to develop customized economic valuations of infrastructure projects. The presentation explains how the different tools of SAVi, such as system dynamics and project finance modelling, help to understand infrastructure challenges and develop solutions in dynamic and complex circumstances. It will also address the role of the NBI Global Resource Centre in building the track record of NBI and providing training and knowledge for stakeholders.
The NBI Global Resource Centre aims to bring together key partners to establish a business case for Nature-Based Infrastructure (NBI).
