SAVi Demo for the Africa Infrastructure Fellowship Program (AIFP)

From 9 November to 26 November the African Infrastructure Fellowship Program will welcome a select number of fellows to attend sessions on financing infrastructure projects. During this  event, IISD will be delivering a 2-hour session on our Sustainable Asset Valuation (SAVi) tool. IISD experts will focus on how nature-based infrastructure (such as wetlands, sand dunes) compare to built infrastructure in terms of financial performance and risk mitigation.

This training will enable representatives from various African countries to better understand the importance of environmental and social externalities in the selection, design and financing of infrastructure projects. The session will also demonstrate that nature-based infrastructure is a viable alternative to built infrastructure.
